Puerto Puyuhuapi, Chile
After a week of doing next to nothing but recharging –and doing it very slowly– I said goodbye to Puyuhuapi yesterday. If you’re ever on Chile’s Carretera Austral and need some time to recharge in a beautiful and peaceful setting that serves up lots of fresh seafood, I highly recommend a stop for a few days. Or even a week. Or two.
‘Lost in the Details’ is the theme for this week’s WordPress Photo Challenge. There are plenty here to keep my eyes busy for hours, from the streaks of rust on the side of the boat to the lettering style selected. I like the chipping paint. It’s a well-worn cliche photographically but that doesn’t make it any less appealing.

There is just something about old boats. The history, always wondering what story they could tell if they could talk.
Indeed – I’ve always been drawn to them and probably always will be.
