Seno Última Esperanza or Last Hope Sound
Gotta love the sound of that, no?
This is a century-old dock on the Seno Última Esperanza or Last Hope Sound, in Puerto Natales, Chile, the capital of Última Esperanza province and the main gateway for Torres del Paine National Park, the most visited in South America. Today I’m off for a day-long trip on the Sound.
Apologies for the quiet around here, and with correspondence, the past few days. The connection is very slow at my modest hotel.

Qué bonito!!!!
Incredibly beautiful, and peaceful.
one of my favorite place on earth… love this view… do/did you stay at erratic rock hostal? the best place in town!
I’m biased, I worked there but it’s so much fun!!!
Really enjoyed the area, too, but only stayed three nights. The Sound is spectacular. No Rock Hostel for me
, stayed at a place called Reymar.
as long as you could enjoy the beauty at the end of the world…
I’m glad that it’s sound as well as beautiful. I have an entirely different focus on Chile right now- Rafa Nadal’s return to tennis.
Blue is such a serene colour, so peaceful
